EU citizen are required to apply for a Residence Certificate when they intend to live in Spain and they have previously been registered at the Estepona Town Hall. In this Residence Certificate will appear your NIE, name, address and nationality without photo. This document cannot be used as an identification, just to confirm the address of the resident.
You have to apply for the Residence Certificate at the National Police Station in calle Hermanos Machado of Estepona, previous appointment by calling 952 79 85 30. This certificate will be given on the same day if you have already an NIE number.
Documents to present:
- Application form EX18 (original and photocopy). This form is available at Nacional Police Station and at Estepona Foreigners Department (Plaza de Las Flores).
- Bank payment slip of 9.54 euros Tax. This form is available at the Estepona Police Station or at the Foreign Department.
- Certificate of Registry from Town Hall.
- Passport (original and photocopy).
- Health cover (Social Security or private insurance). For pensioneers the documents S1 is required from Social Security of the pensioneer country.
- Incomes: (by work contract, pension , freelance etc…)
Children should submit the above mentioned documents together with a copy of their Birth Certificate translated by a sworn translator.
Non-EU Citizens
Will apply for the Residence Card at the Oficina de Extranjeros de la Subdelegación in Malaga, C/ Virgen del Gran Poder 40.
